First I used a center drill to mark the hole. Then drilled with an under-sized drill bit. Then reamed to size. (Note: turn the reamer by hand.... not with the motor.)

90Degree45.jpg45 degree cuts88 viewsI needed to make sure that the 45 degree cuts, for the brake pedal tubes were all at a 90 degree angle to a flat surface. Here is a picture of a piece of tubing in my chop saw. I used a piece of an "L" extrusion and place the one end on the surface of the chop saw and, after positioning the tube for the cut, moved the extrusion next to the tip of the 45 degree cut that was already on the one end of the tube and made sure that it was flat against the upright part of the extrusion. (pretty wordy, eh)
